Where are the Terms & Conditions located for each auction item? There is no fee to register. Most auctions will have a 10% Buyer Premium added to the high bid, some auctions may have 5%, and possibly anywhere in between, depending on the situation. The Buyer Fee for each item will be listed in the Terms & Conditions on every item page. The Terms & Conditions are different for each one of our auctions. When you go to an item listing, the box below the description is where the Terms & Conditions are located. Just scroll through and read all terms & conditions. | top | | | | When or How do I preview the auction items in person?
Look in the Terms & Conditions for each item. The location and times for the preview will be listed there. | top | | | | What are the "Bid Increments" for the site?
Remember when placing auto-bids that our site does not use pennies (0.19, 0.77, 0.99, etc). All bids are in whole dollars and must be a complete & full bid increment above the previous high bid. Please check the item to make sure that your bidder number is listed as the High Bidder, if not, then you are not the successful bidder.
The bid increments for the site are as follows:
Bids and Bid Increments are in U.S.Dollars
2 to 50 is $2 raise/increment
50 to 300 is $5 raise/increment
300 to 1,000 is $10 raise/increment
1,000 to 2,500 is $25 raise/increment
2,500 to 5,000 is $50 raise/increment
5,000 to 10,000 is $100 raise/increment
10,000 to 25,000 is $250 raise/increment
25,000 to 100,000 is $500 raise/increment
100,000 to 250,000 is $1,000 raise/increment
250,000 to 500,000 is $2,500 raise/increment
500,000 to infinity is $5,000 raise/increment | top | | | | How to place an Auto-Bid or a Max-Bid:
1. To place a maximum bid or an auto-bid, just enter the maximum amount you are willing to bid on an item and enter that amount where it says "Place Bid". (NO $ SIGN !)
2. The program will bid on your behalf against any competing bidders up to your maximum bid.
3. Remember when placing auto-bids that our site does not use pennies (0.19, 0.77, 0.99, etc). All bids are in whole dollars and must be a complete & full bid increment above the last bid.
Please check the item to make sure that your bidder number is listed as the High Bidder, if not, then you are not the successful bidder. | top | | | | I bid $xx amount and the program says it accepted my bid, but I am not the high bidder? Why? Either (a)Another Bidder has previously placed a max-bid amount higher than your bid, OR (b)Another Bidder has previously bid the same amount as your bid. In the case of a 'same bid' or 'tie bid', the software places the bid that was received first 'on top' as the current high bidder. Become familiar with your bidder number. ALWAYS check to see if YOUR BIDDER NUMBER is shown as the High Bidder! Sometimes it pays to get in early! | top | | | | Why does the bidding continue after the scheduled closing time? The short answer is: the software has integral dynamic extended bidding. If a bid is placed anytime within the 5 minutes prior to the scheduled closing, the software extends the bidding an additional 5 minutes to allow sufficient time for your competitor to login and bid again.
The long answer is: We are an Auction Company and chose this software because it most closely simulates a live auction process. In a live auction, if a bid comes in before the final drop of the hammer, the Auctioneer will generally accept it and ask for a higher bid. Auctioneers are Agents of the Seller, and we believe that this dynamic closing system is as close as we can get to the live auction process, while appreciating and being fair and equitable to all Bidders. | top | | | | How do I pay for my purchases? After the conclusion of the auction, a few hours after all items have ended, (sometimes several if we're working on the next auction), go to your "My Account" section and click on "My Invoices".
Just click on the invoice for that day and your invoice will appear. You may pay online with Mastercard or Visa.
If you are pre-approved for a check or are paying cash, you "may" be able to pay in person. Again, please read the auction terms & conditions. Some auctions are credit card only. | top | | | | How do I place a bid on an item? 1. To place a bid on an item, you must first be a registered user of the site.
2. You must be logged in to LTXBID.com.
3. In the box on the right side where it says "Place Bid", enter the whole dollar amount of your bid there. (remember, NO $ SIGN! and NO PENNIES!)
4. Check to make sure that your Bidder Number is listed at the current high bidder.
| top | | | | Can a bid be removed? NO. Once a bid is placed, the bidder who placed the bid is responsible for that amount. All Bids Are A Binding Contract. Bidder acknowledges that once a bid is offered, the Bidder shall be bound by the bid amount. Bids can not be withdrawn or retracted. Verify your information entered (ie: bid amount, correct item, etc) before submitting your bids.
NOTE: The 'remove' option in your 'My Account' page is simply there for you to keep your page current and up to date. Clicking the 'remove' option in your 'My Account' page DOES NOT remove your bid!
